Parsons Paris + API Abroad

GENERAL INFORMATION

Parsons Paris is partnering with Academic Programs International (API), a preferred housing provider, to offer housing to students in Paris. API offers Parsons Paris students the option to live in a shared flat or an individual studio in a residence hall. Prices vary depending on which option is selected and length of stay.

The Parsons Paris Saint Roch campus is located in a newly renovated historic building, just a short walk from the Louvre, the Opéra Garnier, Place Vendôme and other cultural highlights. In 2020, Parsons Paris opened its Paris-Romainville campus, which is located in a contemporary art and cultural hub in Greater Paris. This campus is set among renowned French and European galleries, cultural presenters, and organizations, including the Fiminco Foundation’s international artist residencies and the Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain—FRAC Île-de-France building.

Students from around the world looking for a Parsons education in an international city can study and live alongside their peers who share their passion for immersing themselves in the creative and intellectual activity of Paris.

As a Parsons Paris student, you join a diverse community in a dynamic city. We encourage students unfamiliar with Paris, particularly first-year students, to take advantage of program housing. Program housing includes internet, maintenance services, and 24/7 emergency lines. It is important to highlight that with program housing, no guarantors are needed, as API handles all of the housing arrangements.

SHARED FLATS/APARTMENTS

Shared apartments are located throughout the city in safe neighborhoods within 30-45 minutes of Parsons Paris. Most house 4 students in 2 bedrooms, with a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom, though there can be some variation and a limited number of single rooms are available for an additional fee. While only Parsons Paris students will be living in each shared apartment, there will be Parisians living in other apartments throughout the buildings. Meals are not included but kitchen appliances will be provided. Apartments are equipped with washing machines but dryers are not common in Paris, so students will hang dry laundry, or bring it to a local laundromat. Apartments are typically between 60-70 square metres, which is smaller than American apartments, but standard for most throughout Europe. Please note that shared flats do not have central air conditioning.

Students who select this option for the full Academic Year will be committing to the placement for the full Academic Year. Students will have access to their flats for the full program housing dates and will not be required to vacate during school breaks.
